Roamers Support
Last updated: September 18, 2026. Roamers is operated by Make it Nice GmbH (Impressum).
> In danger right now? Don't email us. Call your local emergency services. Roamers does not monitor SOS or messages.
Contact us
- Email: hallo@makeitnice.de. Tell us the email you sign in with, or that you use Sign in with Apple, and what you tapped and what happened.
- In the app: Settings, then Report a Problem or Send Feedback. This opens an email to our team.
- When we reply: within 24 hours. We review abuse reports sent from the app within 24 hours too. We are a small team and don't offer phone support.
Finding Settings: Home tab, then your profile picture (top right), then the gear icon.
Account and sign-in
- You can sign in with Apple or with email. If you sign up with email, tap the link in our confirmation email before you sign in the first time. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.
- Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password?. The reset link opens Roamers so you can choose a new password.
- Change your password: Settings, then Account, then Change Password.
- Think someone else is using your account? Change your password, then email us.
Delete your account
Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account, and type DELETE to confirm. Deletion happens straight away and can't be undone. It removes your profile, photos, messages and conversations, connections, hails, posts, trips, check-ins and emergency contacts, plus the files you uploaded. One exception: the text of safety reports, by you or about you, is kept without your name until 12 months after the report is resolved. Photos in those reports are deleted with your account. Full details are in Privacy Policy §7.
Block, report or remove a connection
| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Report or block a traveler | Tap ⋯ on their profile, on their card on the map, or in your chat with them. Then choose Report or Block. Before blocking, we ask whether you want to report them first. |
| Report a hail | Open the hail, tap ⋯, then Report Hail |
| Report a post or group post | Tap ⋯ on the post, then Report |
| Report a comment, message or check-in | Open the menu on it and choose Report Comment, Report Message or Report Check-in |
| Remove a connection | In your chat with them, or on their card on the map, tap ⋯, then Remove Connection |
| Unblock someone | Settings, then Privacy, then Blocked Users |
The person you block or report isn't told, and authors never see who reported them. Removing a connection hides your conversation for both of you. If something happened, report first: once a conversation is hidden, you can't report its messages.
Safety
- Presence (Settings, then Privacy): Pinned to town shows you in Nearby to signed-in travelers, at town level (about 5 km). Visible to connections shows your town only to your connections. Hidden takes you out of Nearby. Nobody else ever gets your exact position, except through a Live share you start.
- Live share (Settings, then Live Location Sharing): send a time-limited link, or share with people you follow or are connected with. It updates only while Roamers is open on your phone. When the app is closed, the share pauses and viewers see when your location was last updated. It ends by itself, or tap Stop.
- SOS (the SOS button on the Discover map) can call your local emergency number. It can also start a 2-hour live location link for the emergency contacts you add in Settings. SOS is not monitored by Roamers. Nobody at Roamers sees an SOS or responds to it.
- Profiles aren't verified. See our meeting tips in the Community Guidelines.
